Trade and Technical Programmes

1. Malaysian Cocoa Trade and Technical Awareness Program (MCTTAP)

Malaysian Cocoa Trade and Technical Awareness Program is being organized by Malaysian Cocoa Board with an aim to increase market shares of Malaysian cocoa products. Through this programme participants will be exposed to all aspects relating to the Malaysian Cocoa Industry as well as to acquaint them with the latest research findings on the quality of Malaysian cocoa. This includes current development and progress of all major sectors of the industry including quality enhancement, technology and research and development, cocoa processing technology and manufacturing standards, product specifications and applications and commercial aspects of the cocoa trade. Participations are by invitation.

2. Cocoa Economic and Technical Mission

Cocoa Economic and Technical Mission is being organized by Malaysian Cocoa Board to further understand the market and increase the market shares for Malaysian cocoa beans and cocoa products in the selected countries. Cocoa companies are welcomed to participate in the cocoa economic and technical mission.

3. ASEAN Cocoa Club (ACC)

Malaysian Cocoa Board is the secretariat for the ASEAN Cocoa Club (ACC). The ASEAN Cocoa Club (ACC) is an annual meeting involving the ASEAN member countries to discuss and formulate strategies in strengthening and enhancing the intra-ASEAN trade on cocoa and cocoa products to be in line with the objective of the ASEAN Cooperation and JOINT Approaches in Agriculture and Forest Products Promotion scheme, which are to strengthen the collective bargaining position of ASEAN on matters affecting agriculture and forest products trade in the world market, expand agriculture and forest products exports through product diversification of downstream processing and higher value added activity and lay down the foundation for a bigger and closer economic ties between ASEAN number countries.
