MALAYSIAN COCOA BOARD SMS SERVICES USING MALAYSIAN GOVERNMENT SMS GATEWAY MYSMS 15888

INTRODUCTION

Malaysian Cocoa Board (MCB)SMS Services is a service developed by MCB with cooperation with the Malaysian Administrative Modernization and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU) under the Government SMS Gateway Project (MySMS).

The Government SMS Gateway (MySMS) is an initiative to help the public access the government services with ease through a single SMS number, 15888.

The objective of this service is:

To allow an alternative channel for the public to access the services given by governemnt agencies; and
Enable the public to access government services faster and easier on mobile devices.

Please follow the instructions below on how to use this service. To get reference codes ([centre], [grade], [state] and [form codes]), please refer to the MCB SMS service reference codes.

HOW TO USE THE SERVICE

1. COCOA PRICES

A. To get information on the latest prices for dried cocoa beans according to place and grade, please type LKM HARGA [centre] [grade] and send to 15888

Example :

Message to send:

LKM HARGA RAUB SMC1

You will receive SMS:

RM0.20 LKM: Harga Biji Koko Kering (RM/Tan), RAUB, SMC 1, 09/01/2009:

Tertinggi: 6850

Terendah: 6800

Purata: 6830

B. To get information on the latest prices for wet cocoa beans according to place and grade, please type LKM HARGA [centre] BASAH and send to 15888

Example:

Message to send:

LKM HARGA TAWAU BASAH

You will receive:

RM0.20 LKM: Harga Biji Koko Basah (RM/Kg), TAWAU, 09/01/2009:

Tertinggi: 200

Terendah: 165

Purata: 178

C. To get information on the latest info for average dried cocoa beans prices for all grades according to place, please type LKM HARGA [centre] and send to 15888

Example:

You will receive:

RM0.20 LKM: Harga Biji Koko Purata (RM/Tan), BATU PAHAT, 09/01/2009:

SMC 1: 6830

SMC 2: 6900
